Why Volunteer?
Free Tickets: Volunteers receive 2 free tickets to the tour in exchange for working a shift. It’s a fantastic way to experience the tour without purchasing a ticket.
Exclusive Access: As a volunteer, you’ll get behind-the-scenes access to some of the most beautiful and innovative architectural spaces and events. This is your chance to meet like-minded architecture lovers and learn more about the design process directly from the architects.
Support Your Community: By volunteering, you help bring these tours to life and support the local architectural community. You’ll be contributing to the cultural and design education of your city.
Volunteer Responsibilities
As a volunteer, you’ll be working directly with our attendees. Here’s what you’ll do:
- Tour Docents: Welcome attendees, check tickets, and help with check-in. Help maintain the properties by ensuring guests respect the tour guidelines, such as removing shoes or wearing booties (which will be provided). Provide basic information about the tour to attendees and be available for any questions they may have.
- Event Meet & Greeters: You’ll be provided with a list of names who have RSVP’d or purchased a ticket to the event. You will ask their name and cross them off a list. If you have questions from attendees, you can direct them to the event manager.
What You Get
2 Free Tickets: In exchange for working a shift, you’ll receive 2 complimentary tickets to the tour, allowing you to explore the rest of the locations at your leisure.
Experience: Gain unique insight into modern and contemporary architecture while being part of an exciting, design-focused event.
Meet Architects: Volunteers often have the chance to interact directly with architects and designers, learning about the creative process behind each space.
How to Volunteer
Select an Event: this will open a new window with further information for the event and the time slots available.
Confirm Your Shift: We’ll email you a confirmation with the time and location of your shift, along with any other details you’ll need for the day.
Get Your Free Tickets: Once you’ve completed your shift, you’ll receive 2 free tickets to enjoy the tour. Use them on the same day or share with a friend!
What are the shift times?
Shifts are typically 2-4 hours. You can see the times on each volunteer sign-up page.
Do I need experience?
No prior experience is necessary.
We’ll provide all the training and materials you need to be successful as a volunteer.
What should I wear?
Dress comfortably and be prepared to stand for your shift.
You may be asked to wear volunteer identification such as a lanyard or T-shirt provided by us.
How do I receive my free tickets?
A few days prior to your shift, we’ll issue you 2 free tickets that you can use on the same day or share with a friend.
What if I can’t make my shift?
If you’re unable to attend, please contact us as soon as possible so we can find a replacement.
