Foundation de France clever campaign to save the bees
“B”, an influencer building buzz about saving the bees
B. was the first bee influencer. Her mission: save bees, many of which disappear every year. Thanks to her 275,000 followers on Instagram, she has made many partnerships with brands to raise money and finance projects to support the protection of bees. In April 2021, B. sadly left us because of pesticides. Bees are still in danger. It is thanks to her partners and to you that the Beefund has been able to give life to concrete actions for the preservation of bees. But the fight is far from over.
Selected projects supported by the BeeFund includes Mayage —bringing out new agricultural practices to reconcile farmers and beekeepers; Rescuing wild pollinators —teaching construction and maintenance techniques of agro-ecological infrastructures that will create a suitable habitat for bee; Analysis —study for the protection of bees in the Versailles Plain; Toxicological diagnostics —build a toxicological diagnosis tool for plant protection products.
Why act?
For the bees —24% of bees die in Europe every year; For biodiversity —84% of wild and cultivated flowering plants are pollinated by bees. They provide an invaluable and free ecological service to the planet: the reproduction of a large part of plants; For humanity —75% of the world‘s agricultural crops are pollinated by bees.
It is often thought that the disappearance of bees only concerns bees. Far from it. Bees are a fundamental pillar of our ecosystem, our food, and our global economic system. Protecting bees means protecting the planet, but also humankind.
